Ministries
The nursery ministry caters to children ages 6 months to 6 years old and it allows the parents the opportunity to focus on the word of God during worship service. While in the nursery, we read Bible stories, and we teach the kids how to pray. The kids also receive a snack.
We plan annual church programs and activities such as Church Anniversary, Family Movie Night, Sunday Funday, Harvest Festival, Western Day, Old Fashioned Day and many more.
A group of counselors who receive new members and explain to them the plan of salvation. We pray for them and their needs and explain how to become a member of the church.
The beautification ministry decorates the sanctuary and other areas of the church during seasonal changes to beautify God’s creation to honor God.
A women’s Bible Study group for ages 18 and up. We meet every 1st and 3rd Thursday to sharpen, support, and encourage each other in the Word of God. We also hold each other accountable with love and compassion.
The Board of Directors is the governing body of our church. These board members are elected to oversee management, and to protect the interests of the church at all times. The Chairman of the Board of Directors is Bro. Donald Isaac.
A team of volunteers dedicated to feeding the flock. We prepare and serve enjoyable meals to the church and community for special occasions while creating a comfortable atmosphere for Christian fellowship.
A professional nurse that combines spirituality with health. The role of this ministry is to plan, implement and evaluate health needs of the congregation. Minnie Henry Jackson, RN, BSN, MSN
The purpose of the Deacons ministry is to serve the membership and support the pastor. One of the most vital sources of serving the membership is the family ministry. Every member has an assigned Deacon.

To provide beautification and purpose to reflect God’s handiwork through our decorative and creative ideas.
Oversees the financial budgets, weekly giving and various assisting opportunities to include benevolence.
Our core function is making others feel welcome and appreciated. A warm smile and a friendly hello set the tone for all visitors and members.
Helping Youth Prepare for Eternity” We teach the youth to accept Jesus as their Savior and to know that Heaven is their home. HYPE youth church exists to establish meaningful relationships with other young believers for the purpose of growing in their relationship with the Lord. We serve grades 1st-12th and meet every 2nd-5th Sunday in the HYPE worship room dedicated to our youth. Hype bible study meets every Wednesday from 6:00 pm-7:45pm.
We praise and minister through dance to touch the lives of others by impacting their situations in a positive way. We also strive to draw in our peers so that they may be inspired to be used by God.
Growing men to bond while building relationships to become fishermen of Christ.
A comprised ministry of wives who support the ministers and pastors in ministry.
The Missions Council provide and fund outreach and evangelistic opportunities locally and abroad.
Our Multimedia Ministry is designed to assist everyday worship through audio and visual aspects of technology. The ministry also handles our livestreaming to social media.
The Music Ministry is dedicated to singing praises to God and encouraging our fellow brethren through song. We sing a variety of gospel music from old school to new school. All are welcomed to join the music ministry.
The main objective for the SALT Ministry is to educate, equip and engage our seniors. We keep them abreast of community affairs, Medicare plan changes, medical benefits, Financial Investments, current scams and how to protect themselves against whatever wiles are thrown at them. We keep our seniors informed while at the same time making each event enjoyable and entertaining. The SALT Ministry is open to any and all seniors, Saint John as well as the community.
The security ministry secures the interior & exterior of the church including the parking lot to ensure safety of all parishioners during every program and worship services.
Senior Women’s Ministry is inclusive of women ages 60 and older. We provide leadership in-advancing the Kingdom’s Agenda through; Mission, Evangelism, Education, and meeting the needs of mankind through outreach, Service and Ministry.
We provide food to the community on a biweekly basis through CHOICE SHOPPING, which allows are clients to shop for the items that they need.
We are supported by our church, Harry Chapin Food Bank and various supporters.
The purpose of the Transportation Ministry is to provide transportation for church members who reside within a 5-mile radius to attend Sunday School & worship services for those persons who are without transportation of their own. The Transportation Ministry is also available for out-of-town church events and church programs.
Our ministry stands at the door with a smile to welcome all members and visitors into the sanctuary. We stay watchful during service to assist any need during the service. We also distribute literature as well as assist with the ministry of giving. We welcome men and women to join our ministry.
Our goal is to have a positive impact on providing preventative healthcare as well as raise awareness on wellness & exercise goals utilizing the SMART Method (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-Set.
The Willing Workers are members who donate funds to the ministry to assist with various projects and necessities for the church that are financially supported through the ministry and not the church.
The Women’s Intermediate Auxiliary is a sisterhood of women comprised of ladies ages 41-59 who maintain fellowship among Christian women by providing spiritual leadership and development through engagement in church, evangelism, and community service projects.
