Laura is the daughter of Walter Sloan and Edna McCullum. She is the fifth of nine siblings. Her matrimonial companion of 38 years is Leon Williams who serves as the Pastor/Teacher of St. John First Missionary Baptist Church of Fort Myers, Florida. Laura and Leon became Christ Followers out of the same set of circumstances...and have journeyed together as Christ Followers for almost 37 years.
Over the years, she has been privileged to serve in many areas in the local church. She been blessed to have served on the mission field during several short-term trips overseas. She has spearheaded several fundraisers, collecting cash donations for victims of natural disasters within the United States and abroad. Every missionary endeavor has helped her grow in her love for the Lord Jesus Christ and His Church.
Laura serves alongside her husband and church family in whatever capacity needed. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biblical Studies with a minor area of study in Missions from Liberty University.
She retired from the State of Florida (Department of Corrections) in
2003 and started her second career with Suncoast Credit Union where she serves as a Service Center Manager in the Ft. Myers area.
It is because of Him that Laura has committed her life to becoming a vessel, for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven!
